The Tome Raiders Book Club is your passport to the strange, fascinating, and overlooked corners of nonfiction. From the origin of medical discoveries to untold histories and mind-bending science, we hunt down and engage with the most intriguing reads.

Join us as we delve into the broad and weird world of nonfiction every 3rd Wednesday from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, we dive into a nonfiction book, from the reclusive mountains of Idaho in Tara Westover's Educated to the sprawling historical true crime journey of The Wager by David Grann.

*** DATE CHANGE ***

We are meeting the SECOND Wednesday this month, October 8. Please mark your calendars!

Before Jeffrey Dahmer became a notorious serial killer, he was just an awkward teenager—and Derf Backderf’s high school classmate. In the haunting graphic novel My Friend Dahmer, Backderf offers a chilling insider’s look at the making of a monster, blurring the line between bystander and witness. Come celebrate Halloween with us by learning about one of the notorious serial killers in US history, but from a very different angle.

This event occurs after the library is closed so please park in the front lot and use the front doors—they will be locked but Cameron will be inside to let you in. There will be light refreshments available.

Copies are available for you at Cooper-Siegel's Front Desk! hoopla has an electronic version for you to borrow for free, as well!
