Event Details
Due to the snowstorm, the 1/26 session of Art After Dark is CANCELED. We will reschedule the January meditative artmaking to our February session and push the February project to March. Anyone registered for January will automatically be ported to the February session. Please let us know ASAP if you cannot attend the February session so we may open your spot. Stay safe and warm, everyone!
Art is for everyone! Art After Dark is our monthly adult art workshop series with Alison -- all skill levels welcome! We aim to create a space where adults feel safe to play, try, fail and succeed. We encourage each other and cooperate to learn together.
Research shows that engaging in an art project for as little as 45 minutes reduces the stress hormone cortisol, no matter your skill level, and how just one art experience per month can extend your life by 10 years! - Susan Magsamen & Ivy Ross
In honor of the new year, let's reset our brains with some meditative artmaking at our January session! From neurographic drawing to grid journaling, we will learn art exercises designed to increase your creativity, neuroplasticity, and relaxation. These therapeutic art prompts can go in your self-care tool box forever!
This staff-led program is FREE - donations appreciated. All supplies provided.
