Art is for everyone! Art After Dark is our monthly adult art workshop series with Alison -- all skill levels welcome! We aim to create a space where adults feel safe to play, try, fail and succeed. We encourage each other and cooperate to learn together.
Research shows that engaging in an art project for as little as 45 minutes reduces the stress hormone cortisol, no matter your skill level, and how just one art experience per month can extend your life by 10 years! - Susan Magsamen & Ivy Ross
Suminagashi or paper marbling is a fun way to play with colors and patterns! In February, we will make marbleized paper that you can use on your own valentines and cards. Or you can use it to make a simple book. I will also teach you a very easy paper-binding stitch.
This staff-led program is FREE - donations appreciated. All supplies provided.
Library parking is limited. If the library lot is full, we recommend parking at the 13th Street municipal lot. We're also conveniently located on the 91 and 1 bus routes.
