Event Details
Our very own Alison Babusci is a Pittsburgh-born artist, teacher, professional storyteller, and art education consultant. As a storyteller, she has performed for children and adults in museums, independent bookstores, schools, libraries, theatres, and festivals from Pittsburgh to New York City, often accompanied by her original puppets. She has over 32 years of teaching experience and currently teaches at Sharpsburg Community Library.
Alison creates art in a variety of media, usually involving textiles and stories. She was inspired to try ice tie dye during the pandemic and cannot stop. The colors and endless and unexpected possibilities continue to intrigue her. In the colder months, Alison felts cashmere and wool sweaters, transforming them into accessories for humans, cats, and homes. In the warmer months, she uses ice tie dye to create wearable art and unique home goods.
Chroma Collection: Ice Tie Dye by Studio Alison B will be on view daily through 12/31 and feature various items for sale. 25% of each sale benefits the library
