History is our story! Join the Allegheny County Park Rangers for a presentation about the History of Hartwood Acres as we begin Earth Month!

Get up and get moving during our toddler and preschool storytime (for children ages 2-5) and their caregivers. This interactive storytime features books, fingerplays, bounces, scarves, shakers, and a parachute.

Our youngest friends are invited to imagine and create with Ms. Alison at this weekly arts-integration storytime for PreK children and their caregivers. Each session will include stories and a hands-on developmentally appropriate art activity.

Join us for snuggly, giggly fun that features songs, rhymes, and stories for babies and toddlers (ages birth - 2 years) and their caregivers.

Join us for fun, hands-on projects that explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math concepts through hands-on experiences.

This event is for a 1-on-1 Digitize It Yourself (D.I.Y.) Lab appointment with a trained volunteer.

Every Wednesday is Teen Scene with Mr. Finn! If you are in grades 6-12, this is the program for you!

April Activities:

Join certified art instructor Ms. Alison for a multi-media art studio with a nurturing environment where ALL are encouraged to find the joy in creating art! For grades K-5. 

Stitch a project and new friendships at Stitch Social, a dedicated time each month on the 2nd Wednesday for folks to bring their fiber arts projects (knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, etc.) and socialize, skill share, and relax for an hour.

This bimonthly book club at Sharpsburg reads all horror, all the time!

Children 2 and under and their caregivers are invited to join Ms. Megan every week for a wiggly, giggly program featuring fingerplays, bounces, tickles, and shakers.

This event is for a 1-on-1 Digitize It Yourself (D.I.Y.) Lab appointment. During the appointment, you can transfer and store your analog memorabilia, such as photos, slides, audio and video cassettes, into a digital format for safekeeping.

Makerspace open hours.  Please drop by and learn what the makerspace has to offer.

April is our Fantasy month, so we will be reading The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden.

Join us for a fun time after hours at the library for our Middle School Teens! Play games, sing karaoke, eat pizza, and more! Use the back entrance for this program.
