Program Description

Event Details

Come read and practice with author and teacher, Joanne Spence in this 4-week series. You'll read Joanne's book, Trauma Informed Yoga while learning and practicing simple movement and breathing practices. Joanne will lead gentle discussions about the book and the practice. You'll discover how to care for yourself better and reduce anxiety and depression.

While these sessions are not a substitute for therapy, they can serve as a beginning point to taking charge of your physical and mental health. Joanne explains the science and the practices making them accessible to all. This series is $30 for all 4 sessions. We need a minimum of 10 registrants for the class to go.

Joanne's style of teaching yoga has not only come from years of study, but it has come out of her own desire to be well - pain-free both physically and mentally. We have to move to heal and even very gentle movement connected to the breath can be astonishingly powerful. She teaches to the person in front of her, and will carefully listen to you. You will feel seen and heard. Joanne has been developing this skill set over the last twenty years. She is a certified yoga therapist and is registered with Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200-hour level and Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500 hour level. Find out more about Joanneā€™s work at her website.
