Sharpsburg: Art After Dark

Art is for everyone! Art After Dark is our adult art workshop series -- all skill levels welcome!

Ms. Alison is on vacation this month, so our program facilitator is Dr. Vincenne Revilla Beltrán of Point Park University.

Since childhood, she has enjoyed working with fibers and fabric and in recent years has enjoyed the creative and relaxing process of Meditative Hand-Stitching.  Her research in the use of stitching for mental health and wellness has led her to explore the rich history of meditative stitching dating back to WWI in England. Through her years of research, she discovered there are healing benefits and life lessons in the fabric, threads, and stitches. Now, she brings this joyful, creative artform to members of our community as she shares this introductory session on slow stitch meditation.
