Adopt your own (stuffed animal) puppy from Grey the Great Dane! Grey is a certified therapy dog, who loves to have kids read books to him. This fall, he is encouraging kids ages 2-11 to read every night by giving them a stuffed puppy to adopt and read to every night. For kids who are not reading independently, they are encouraged to snuggle up with their puppy during family read-alouds.
We have 32 spots for this special reading challenge from Grey. Kids who sign-up will receive a stuffed puppy, an adoption certificate, and special instructions to make sure that they care for their new puppy by reading to them 20 minutes every day. Grey loves to hear stories and he knows the puppies will love it as well!
Kids who receive the stuffed puppies are encouraged to attend Read to Grey programs with their puppies this fall so that Grey can check on the puppies and hear about their lives with their new human friends.
Please register for this reading challenge and then come to the Saturday, September 17th Read to Grey program at 10:30 for the adoption ceremony.
