Event Details
Owls have long captured our imaginations because of their mysterious nocturnal activities, unique adaptations, and overall cuteness. Join Allegheny County Park Rangers to explore the owls that call Pennsylvania home and the special abilities they use to conquer the night.
This program is presented by the Allegheny County Park Rangers, the ambassadors of the Allegheny County Parks System. Park Rangers offer educational and interpretive programming as well as outreach programming to local schools and communities. They also provide park visitors with orientation and information while ensuring park regulations are being followed. Park Rangers represent the ideas of conservation and stewardship of natural, cultural, and recreational resources within the Allegheny County Parks system.
Please note there will not be live owls at this program, but there may be some taxidermy specimens on display.
Library parking is limited. If the library lot is full, we recommend parking at the 13th Street municipal lot. We're also conveniently located on the 91 and 1 bus routes.
