Curious? Always learning? Love hearing human stories? The Memory (Memoir + History) Book Club is for you!

Join us as we delve into the broad and weird world of nonfiction through selected memoirs and historical books. Every 3rd Wednesday from 630pm to 730pm, we will dive into a nonfiction book, from the smoke- and curse-filled kitchens of the 90s in Anthony Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential to the striking Pittsburgh origin of paramedics in the United States in Kevin Hazzard's American Sirens.

In Consider the Fork (2012), award-winning food writer Bee Wilson provides a wide-ranging and witty tour of the evolution of cooking around the world, revealing the hidden histories of everyday objects our kitchens are filled with. For the foodie or the hungry, Wilson blends history, science, and anthropology in this informative romp.

Copies are available for you at Cooper-Siegel’s Front Desk (or try an eBook for your Kindle or iPad)!

The audiobook version is also available on Libby.
