Dr. Vincenne Revilla Beltran, resident of O’Hara Township and Professor at Point Park University School of Education, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and Board Certified Wellness Coach. Since childhood, she has enjoyed working with fibers and fabric and in recent years has enjoyed the creative and relaxing process of Meditative Hand-Stitching. Her research in the use of stitching for mental health and wellness has led her to explore the rich history of meditative stitching dating back to WWI in England. Through her years of research, she discovered there are healing benefits and life lessons in the fabric, threads, and stitches. Now, she brings this joyful, creative artform to members of our community as she shares this introductory session on slow stitch meditation.
