Event Details
Dive into the art movements of Impressionism, Surrealism, and Abstract Expressionism. In this 3-part series, artist and professor, Kimberlyn Bloise will look at the processes of art making and the motivations of artists in these movements with critical examinations of how art and many aspects of society are interconnected.

Kimberlyn Bloise is a ceramic artist from Monroeville, PA, with an MFA from Edinboro University. She specializes in ceramic sound objects, exploring ideas around anxiety, communication, and concepts of functionality. Kimberlyn currently teaches Ceramics and Introduction to Art at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she also acts as the Kipp Gallery Director. You can also find her teaching ceramics classes at Pittsburgh Center for Arts & Media.
