Immerse yourself in the transcendent tones of quartz singing bowls and violin as Monique Mead guides you to a state of stillness and peace. You’ll sit or lie comfortably as these pure sound vibrations permeate your being, activating your body’s natural healing power. This 60-minute sound journey provides an uplifting way to release stress and promote healing on all levels.

The benefits of sound healing include reduced stress, balanced mood, improved sleep, and lower blood pressure and cholesterol.

Please bring a yoga mat or blanket and any yoga props (cushions, blocks, bolsters) to sit/lie on.

As Director of Music Entrepreneurship, Monique Mead has developed a curriculum based on experiential learning that fosters student initiatives throughout Pittsburgh's diverse community and provides project-based internships with major arts organizations. She collaborates with dedicated administrators and faculty to offer insight to professional life and help students take an innovative approach in crafting unique musical paths. She also coaches individual musicians wishing to expand their musical reach.

This summer, Cooper-Siegel Community Library and the Lauri-Ann West Community Center have partnered to offer you events for all ages all about our minds, bodies and spirits! We'll get you feeling, thinking and moving this summer! Find more events at at the LAWCC Mind/Body/Spirit page. Special thanks to UPMC's St. Margaret's Foundation.
