Floral design is more art, than science. Rita DiFrancesco will teach you how to condition flowers to get the most out of them, the mechanics of floral design and necessary accessories (containers, cutters, etc.) Our goal is to learn how to adapting materials for your needs. We'll discuss how to choose flowers based on color, size, and more! You'll also learn about creating color schemes and approaching arrangements seasonally Supplies can be found at any Joann, Michael's, or Dollar Stores
Supplies needed:
- bowl: 6"-8"
- wet oasis: comes in a large one-size block. Rita will share how to adapt the oasis to fit any bowl they choose.J
- small paring knife and/or scissors (Joann/Michael's/Dollar Store)
- fresh flowers- enough to create a full arrangement for the size of your bowl (Trader Joe's is the best place)
Rita has been teaching Floral Design for 30 years in the Fox Chapel Area in adult education classes and and private demonstrations.
