Event Details
Learn about the fascinating history of terrariums – from Wardian Cases in Victorian times to modern handmade creations worth thousands of dollars – and then create your own to take home! Join the educators from Pittsburgh Botanic Garden for a fun day of learning and making. Once the terrarium is created and the lid closed, you can simply sit back and watch the plants grow inside: the ultimate low maintenance garden! You don’t need to bring a thing – the terrarium containers, their lids, the materials needed (such as soil and charcoal), a variety of fun tropical plants as well as whimsical decorative elements will be provided. Cost is $50 per participant.
Please register by July 20th.
