Program Description

Event Details

Springtime is upon us and spring means baby birds! Join Melinda Guinn of the Fox Chapel Bird Town PA Committee for a presentation on Nesting Birds, which will cover not only birds and their habits, but the native plants that feed the insects that nourish the birds.

Bird Town Pennsylvania works in partnership with local municipalities and like-minded organizations to promote community-based conservation actions to create a healthier, more sustainable environment for birds, wildlife, and people.

Melinda Guinn currently serves as a member of the Fox Chapel Bird Town PA Committee and the Fox Chapel Park Commission. Her home garden was also the 2024 Sustainable Garden Award winner from Phipps Conservatory in the "Gardens That Manage Rainwater (Large)" category. She has presented on various ecological topics through the Fox Chapel Area Adult Education program.

Library parking is limited. If the library lot is full, we recommend parking at the 13th Street municipal lot. We're also conveniently located on the 91 and 1 bus routes.
