Tome Raiders

Curious? Always learning? Love hearing human stories? The Tome Raiders Book Club is for you!

Join us as we delve into the broad and weird world of nonfiction through selected memoirs and historical books. Every 3rd Wednesday from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, we will dive into a nonfiction book, from the reclusive mountains of Idaho in Tara Westover's Educated to the stunning life story of Viola Davis in her memoir Finding Me.

Discover the vibrant, often untold stories of LGBTQ+ lives that shaped America in A Queer History of the United States for Young People—from Indigenous two-spirit traditions to Stonewall and beyond. This eye-opening book challenges mainstream narratives, while celebrating resilience, rebellion, and the fight for equality. Join us as we explore how queer history is, and always has been, central to the American story. I chose the "Young People" version because it is the most recently updated and should be a breezier read!

This event occurs after the library is closed so please park in the front lot and use the front doors—they will be locked but Cameron will be inside to let you in. There will be light refreshments available.

Copies are available for you at Cooper-Siegel's Front Desk! Libby has this title in audiobook and e-book formats!
